Overview

RefurbWatch (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free price-comparison tool for refurbished iPhones and iPads in the UK. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), why, and how it is used.

Data we collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:

No account registration is required or offered.
No forms collect your name, email, or any other personal detail.
No cookies are set by RefurbWatch itself.
No advertising networks are used on this site.

Anonymous analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-first, open-source analytics platform, to understand aggregate site usage. This includes page views and anonymous interaction events — such as which filters are used, which device categories are browsed, and how users navigate the site. This data helps us improve RefurbWatch and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Umami is self-hosted and configured to collect no personally identifiable data, store no cookies, and record no IP addresses. All event data is fully anonymised and cannot be traced back to any individual. Because no cookies are set and no personal data is processed, no cookie consent banner is required under UK PECR or UK GDPR.

These links do not involve the transfer of any personal data from RefurbWatch to the retailer beyond what your browser sends as a standard HTTP referral. RefurbWatch links directly to retailer product pages. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the privacy practices of those third-party websites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before making a purchase.

Data retention

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain or delete.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, and objection. As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have a question, you are welcome to contact us (see below).
