About Refurbwatch
What is Refurbwatch?+
Refurbwatch is a free price comparison and price history tool for refurbished iPhones (iPads, MacBooks and more are coming soon) in the UK. It pulls live prices from 9 major retailers every day, so instead of checking each site separately, you can compare everything side by side — and see whether a price is genuinely good or just normal. No sign-up, no ads, no selling you anything.
How does Refurbwatch help you save money?+
Two main ways. First, you can compare the same iPhone across all retailers at once — the same model in the same condition can vary quite a bit depending on where and when you look. Second, Refurbwatch tracks price history, so you can tell whether today's price is actually a deal or just the usual going rate.
If you assumed one retailer always has the best prices, the data will probably surprise you. Together, it makes it a lot harder to overpay.
Which retailers does Refurbwatch track?+
Currently: Back Market, Giffgaff, Music Magpie, Envirofone, CeX Online, The Big Phone Store, UR.co.uk, Reboxed, and eBay certified listings.
These weren't picked at random — all of them are established, well-reviewed retailers in the UK refurb market. Between them, they offer at least 12 months warranty, reasonable returns policies, and proper grading processes. The goal was to include retailers you can actually trust, not just ones with the cheapest prices. More may be added over time as the market grows. If you think a retailer is missing, drop a suggestion in the feedback box at the bottom of the page.
How often are prices updated?+
Prices are refreshed a few times a day. Each offer card shows exactly when it was last checked, so you always know how fresh the data is. As Refurbwatch grows, the aim is to refresh even more frequently.
What does 💰 Value pick mean?+
Value pick flags offers where you're getting noticeably more for barely any extra money. Two things can trigger it:
Better condition, near-same price — if a Grade A or Grade A+ product is priced within roughly 10–12% of the cheapest Grade B or C for the same model, it gets the badge. You'd essentially be paying Grade B money for a phone in much better condition.
New battery, tiny premium — if a new battery upgrade costs within around 7.5% of the same phone without one, it's flagged too. A brand new battery for almost nothing extra is a genuinely good deal.
Both can stack — so some offers earn it for both reasons. The logic runs daily against live prices, so it only ever reflects what's actually available right now.
Does Refurbwatch sell phones directly?+
Nope — Refurbwatch is a comparison tool, not a retailer. Clicking "View" takes you straight to the retailer's site to complete the purchase there.
Is Refurbwatch free?+
Completely free, no account needed. Just search, compare, and go.
How can one support this app?+
Some retailer links on Refurbwatch are affiliate links — if you buy through one, it earns a small commission at no cost to you. That said, not every retailer runs an affiliate programme (CeX is a good example), and they're tracked here anyway because they're genuinely worth including. Offer cards are always sorted by lowest price — affiliate status never changes that. If the app saved you money and you'd like to show some love, a tip always means a lot. ❤️
